Fieldfare by rosiekind

Fieldfare

I saw this fieldfare in what used to be Beauty's field and he was all on his own which is quite unusual. I didn't hear his unmistakable call either but I think he was after some apples that the owner had shaken off the tree and were lying on the ground. It was a shame that I disturbed him but I expect he will go back and have a tuck in. Blackbirds and thrushes love fruit and I wish a fieldfare would come into the garden with the blackbirds but they are far more timid. Fieldfares are a member of the thrush family

I've been to the doctor's this morning because my cold has gone onto my chest so she has prescribed some antibiotics. It is the first time I have seen my new doctor as my previous one retired and she told me off for not taking my statins so I shall have to start taking them again. I feel like a scolded child! There is so much controversy around regarding them which was why I stopped. Naughty me

Thanks for your kind comments and Favs - it is always much appreciated.
Beautiful! I have yet to see a fieldfare this year. Glad you have been to the doctors and hopefully you will feel better soon. Fav!

well done for getting out for a while, shame you couldn't come out with me today, but there was a 3 hour wait on the riverbank in the freezing cold before it even showed :(
Get well soon x
