i saw this poor little starved dog in Wood Lane and he had obviously been through several gardens looking for food. I tried getting the number of the RSPCA on my phone as we travelled to Bedford but couldn't find it so went into the shop in the High Street. The girl gave me a local number which I rang and got an answer phone4 saying to ring the National number. I tried that and eventually got through to someone who then said that I was breaking up even though my phone looked as though it had a good signal. Eventually I had to give up and by the time I got home, it would have been too late because it was ages ago that I saw him and don't know in which direction he headed. I feel so sorry for the little fellow as his ribs are all showing and he's obviously hungry. If anyone finds him they should ring a vet rather than try to feed him up as he will need specialist help. It will worry me now knowing that he is out there with nobody to care for him.
I posted pics of him on Facebook in case anyone recognises him but I don't hold out much hope.
Oh Rosie, I can hardly bear to look. Hope somebody will find him. I found a domestic rabbit loose on the down and could not catch him which was bad enough and never knew what happened to him.
He does look like he is in need of some tlc and food. I hope that someone found him and he will get the necessary help. How frustrating for you to not be able to reach the authorities.
How discraceful that any one can let their animal get to this state -- so cruel -- I can hardly look -- it upsets me so !! Shame you were not able to get to the RSPCA ! I hope someone will have the sense to try and help this poor animal before it is too late ! - perhaps someone will see your fb page !
Oh so sad to see this Rosie! I was hoping you would be able to get someone to pick him up - what a shame there was no answer! I hate to think of him starving and unloved!
Omg..... this is awful, poor animal. He's been hungry for some time by the looks of it. If you see him again Rosie try contacting an animal rescue centre like Wood Green in Godmanchester or Royston. I would also email these photo's to them too.
