While photographing this lovely butterfly, I suddenly noticed this green bug on the thistle. I haven't a clue what it is so if you know, please tell me. I think the butterfly is a small skipper. Today's photos were taken when I walked around Priory Country Park this morning.
I walked down a different path around the Finger Lakes and I heard a kingfisher when I went into Kramer Hide but I didn't see him which was a shame. Never mind, there's always another day. While walking, my sister phoned me so I had a long chat with her which was nice as I was worried because I hadn't heard from her after sending her a birthday card way back in June. Thankfully she is OK apart from sciatica. I certainly know what that's like but it doesn't sound serious in her case.
