RK3_0667 Nuthatch

This is a better photo of the nuthatch that I saw yesterday. I went up to RSPB this morning hoping to see the goldcrest again but alas, he was nowhere to be seen and I had taken my 150-600mm lens. I call it Big Bertha and it's very heavy to carry around but I wouldn't have minded that if I had seen the goldcrest. Anyway, I saw this little fellow from the hide. I did get some shots of him on a stick really close to the hide but because I had my big lens on, I didn't get the whole of his tail in because he was too close! I did notice though that he had been ringed.

Thanks for all your kind comments and Favs and for getting my saffron on PP yesterday. It is always much appreciated.
He's a beauty for sure and you've caught him in a nicely composed image, fav.
