I am posting this today to remind myself of all the lovely times I spent with the kingfishers. Until hide man came on the scene, I had no problems but despite getting a licence to photograph them, I am no longer allowed to do this as the land belongs to the Forest of Marston Vale and they have had problems from some people (I don't know who) and so now there is no public access to this site. However, I can walk along the other end of the brook so I shall be trying my hand at that but I don't think there are any nests or regular perching spots up there so I won't hold my breath. Lovely memories spent watching this pair and photographing them and also writing poetry while I waited. It was such an inspiring time in my life. This was taken in May 2018
Thank you for all your kind comments and Favs and for getting yesterday's photo on PP. It is always much appreciated.
@aaronhall Hide man wanted to sit in the same place that I took this photo and the ranger decided that I could no longer sit there despite him inviting me onto his patch 2 years earlier
