Collared dove by rosiekind

Collared dove

It was unusual to see this collared dove on his/her own as they usually come in pairs. I hope it's mate is alright.

I haven't done anything much this morning yet as it is predicted to rain by 11 o'clock but I was thinking of going up to RSPB Sandy. However, Steve has made other plans for me as he is expecting the widow of one of his friends to come over to have her lawnmower serviced so we shall have a socially distanced coffee in the garage with the doors all open.

Thank you for getting yesterday's robin and Squizzer on PP. It is always much appreciated.
I've had one lonely collared dove in the garden for eigheen months now, obviously lost it's partner. It occasionally turns up with a "friend" but they don't stick around!
