Such a colourful bird. My niger seed hasn't been touched for ages. I must remember not to let the feeder go empty.

Goldfinches are so pretty and this is a lovely shot. Funnily enough in my garden they ignore the nyjer seed in favour of the sunflower hearts. We've given up putting it out.

@nanalisarocks I must admit they do seem to prefer the sunflower hearts but at the moment they have got the full seeds rather than hearts as they were small seeds bought for Bas our cockatoo but they were too much trouble for his big beak!

Beautiful bird, I must say prettier than our winter plumaged goldfinches here in the US!

@greyfeather I agree they are such beautiful little birds. I like the red feathers around their face which contrast so nicely with the rest of their plumage
