These 2 swans (I think they are males) decided to have a go at each other across the Finger Lakes. I only just managed to get a shot as it all happened so quickly and I wasn't really in the right position. However, I liked the colours and reflections in this shot. I have been trying some different settings on the camera following the talk by a lecturer last night at camera club but I need to have a look at the manual to see what he was really talking about.
Roger Hance comes from Chelmsford and he showed us some amazing prints of his work last night. He has 4 fellowships so is quite unique. I particularly liked a shot he took of a red kite which was absolutely perfect. How I wish I had taken that shot of him in flight. A lot to aspire to! Have a look at his website if you get the chance. You will see what I mean.
Great action capture. The male swans are viciou they don't tolerate any other males on their pond - as a matter of fact they don't tolerate any other swans besides their own female
