I walked all the way over to the quarry at Sandy Heath this morning to try to get some shots of the little owls. I took my 400mm lens with 2x extender to make it 800mm. It was bulky and heavy and it would have been worth it to get some shots of the little owls but alas, no sight of them. The lady in the information centre at RSPB said that they only come out to sit on the rocks when it is sunny and warm which it was last time I saw them. Although the sun did shine for a while, it soon became overcast so that's probably why they didn't come out to sun themselves!
Anyway, I saw 2 little dunnocks obviously having a little courtship routine going on and managed to get a shot of this one.
