Of the rescue ponies, this little one seems to be permanently residing in the field opposite the shop. I was dismayed when I turned a laminated notice round on a lamp post nearby to see that there is a proposal for 46 houses on this field. I shall be addressing my objections to the council shortly. It would be awful to have a load of houses instead of the fields with the horses. We don;t have a big enough school, no doctors surgery or any other facilities in the village so it is totally inappropriate. The main road is busy enough as it is without other vehicles adding to it. Rant over
Such a beauty! We have the same thing here Rosie. A huge new estate being built which will connect Wellingborough with the next village of Harrowden. Not enough schools, doctors, parking in town! So sad what they are doing to our countryside! The fields I can see from my house are disappearing!
Open spaces and vital and MOST important to the sanity of a community. To continue to stuff people in for a short term profit made by a select few should be considered a crime. Hope you prevail.
I so agree with you Rosie, the same is happening here too. Space is limited in the cities, so they are building all kinds of housing developments in the coutryside. A crying shame! Lovely shot of the Pony.
