The British Trust for Ornithology have suveyed the feeding habits of goldfinches and have found that they prefer sunflower hearts as their main diet. No wonder I have to keep filling my feeders! In this shot a greenfinch has joined them. You can see the difference between the greenfinch and the siskin which some people tend to muddle up.
That's interesting Rosie as the goldfinches are the main feeders who come regularly - it seems all day long to feed on the sunflower hearts. Constantly filling the feeders. I love to see them all coming every day!! Lovely capture!! Fav!
