Since moving the peanut feeder, Woodie seems to be going more for the suet balls. I'm getting low on them as the only ones I have are in this feeder so I've just ordered 50 on line and hope that he will like those too. I've also had to order another 12.5kg of sunflower hearts - the last lot will last about 3 weeks! It's getting a bit expensive feeding these birds as they keep telling their friends to come round but I do have a lot of birds in the garden!
We don't have woodpeckers so its nice to see them. Have learnt to protect the bird with suet so that it doesn't get on the wings. This affair must work nicely!
Great shot. It gets expensive here too feeding the birds. I feed the kookaburra's, currawongs and butcher birds with raw mince, the lorikeets with bread and seed and the galahs, cockatoos and corellas with seed.
