A GECHO’S FEET

No wonder these creatures can cling to anything; the specialized toe pads on the underpart of their feet enable them to climb smooth and vertical surfaces, and even cross indoor ceilings with ease.

Gechos are well camouflaged on local weathered limestone walls. Although their appearance is monstruous they are peaceful and clean animals and feed on human pests such as mosquitoes and spiders. They are very shy and would rush for cover as soon as they sense any motion close by.
