Fabio (our guide) proposed that we should stop and have a rest before deciding which direction to take. Denise immediately replied that she couldn’t go any further because her feet were a continuous torment. Christine proposed that the ladies go back with Fabio’s fiancée while Ian and I proceed further with Fabio. But Ian and I decided that it should be either all or none. So before making an about-turn and head back to the cars I took this last magical picture of the summit with the volcano spewing smoke.
