20th August. This is one of the main bridges that lead you to the Old Town of Ljubljana. On the top of the hill is Ljubljana Castle.
This is actually three bridges in identical design and a favourite postcard view of Ljubljana. Basically it supplements the old 1842 pital Bridge with two lateral pedestrian bridges. These are angled to emphasize how the bridge "funnels" traffic from the various avenues leading into Preernov trg (I came to know from our Slovene guide that trg in English means square), and channels it onward through the gates of the Old Town.
Thank you very much for looking and for your lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
