Saturday morning of our Gozo weekend was spent lazying around the main city, Rabat, with the ladies making the round of the usual shops. At one time this old bar-front attracted my attention. I had seen this hundreds of times before because where it is located it cannot be missed as it close to a very busy roundabout. I never ventured to take a shot of it before this time.
Malta has been independent from Britain since 1964 and a Republic since 1974, but the owners of this bar seem to still cherish the name, or else it serves to attract British tourists who visit the island.
