Nick: “At last, some peace, Jeff. What an experience this was! And we left Malta for a relaxing break to help you come out of your depression. By the way, how is it going? You haven’t mentioned it since we’ve been away.”
Jeff: “ Forgot all about it. When we get back I want to thank that JP for his advice. We had some troubled time, Nick, this time round, didn’t we? But looking back I would say I loved every minute of it.”
Nick: “Yes, but don’t you think it’s time we went back home? I have started to long for our familiar haunts.”
Jeff: “Yes, Nick. And I think it’s about time; there’s already one paparazzi trying to take pictures of us. But, do we have to fly all the way back?”
Nick: “Hold on, Jeff;” Driiiin, driiiin, driiin: “Hello!”
JP (inset): “Yes!”
Nick: “Yes what?”
JP: “Who is it?”
Nick: “It’s me.”
JP: “Me who?”
Nick: “Nick.”
JP (in an undertone) “f***”; to Nick: “Which Nick?”
Nick: “The gull.”
JP: “Oh, you came out with it at last. How are you? I remember you well. How is your friend em…em…em.”
Nick: “Jeff. He says he’s ok now. I’ve been trying to speak to your dad on the mobile but can’t reach him.”
JP: “His mobile is not working. Can I help you?”
Nick: “Please do. We’re in the Cinque Terre area. Can you find us a ship plying this area which would give us a ride back. We’re too tired to make it on our own.”
JP: “I know of a professor friend of mine who could be sailing down the west coast of Italy. I will try to contact him, hold on.”
After a long wait.
JP: “Nick are you still there?”
Nick: “Yes, was going to dose off.”
JP: “Listen carefully. He will be in the Gulf of La Spezia in a week’s time. He will meet you somewhere near the La Spezia castle at around noon. Make sure you’re there in time.”
Nick: “We will. Thank you so much and give our warmest regards to your dad.”
Thank you very much for looking and for your wonderful comments on yesterday's picture.
Great pics! Magic often sits on my keyboard, and occasionally shouts at people on the phone, so gulls using phones isn't too unlikely :) I hope the boys are organised to catch their lift!
Love the idea of gulls using phones. :)
Fun shots and dialogue, as ever.
