A classic Fiat 500 risks being devoured by the angry sea.
I took the shot I posted yesterday from the shelter of that chimney funnel next to that car, but I still got wet from the spray. That small – and very well kept – classic Fiat 500 came along and parked near where I was. At one time I was afraid a wave would come up and carry us both away. The driver of the car was another crazy photographer as he came out of his car to take some shots, too.
Joke: An Irish priest is driving down to New York and gets stopped for speeding in Connecticut . The state trooper smells alcohol on the priest's breath and then sees an empty wine bottle on the floor of the car.
He says, 'Sir, have you been drinking?'
'Just water,' says the priest.
The trooper says, 'Then why do I smell wine?'
The priest looks at the bottle and says, 'Good Lord! He's done it again!'
No offence meant, guys. I’m a staunch believer myself but a good joke is worth sharing.
Thank you very much for looking and for the wonderful comments and the fav's on yesterday's picture.
Beach Club? Don't think much clubbing would have been able to go on here on New Year's Day by the look of this. Just a few mad photographers out and about it seems. Great shot of the turbulent seas.
Wow that is an angry sea... What a great car ,,, I am sure the salt air is not good for it but he is probably a tourist. Lovely capture with the red a green really catching your eye. Glad you got away safely
I've seen too many newsreels of cars being swept out to sea to park my sweet little Fiat there. I've also seen photographers swept out to sea - you be careful, my friend.
Those really were some turbulent waves - can almost feel the spray from them. Can't imagine how anyone could protect their camera from the salt spray. Hope that building is still standing. And love the joke again. Look forward to those.
Hehe- the joke is cute! The car is cute! The waves are scary! I guess that fellow cares more about getting that shot than the safety of his car- crazy! Good catch!
