On the eve of Festa Santa Maria in Mosta, my daughter, Denise – who lives on the periphery of Mosta - invited Christine and me, my son, Jean_Pierre (JP), his wife Louise and their daughter, Michaela, Denise’s mother-in-law and two sisters-in-law for a roof bbq from where we could watch the fireworks. It is always Ian (her husband) who does the grilling on the bbq. Sausages were served as a first course and he is here turning them over before they get burnt.
I had one eye on the food and the other on the sky, waiting for the fireworks.
Joke: Joe has been married 20 years. He and Mary, his wife, were preparing for the evening’s bbq. Joe was cleaning the BBQ grill when he saw Mary bending over to pick something. So he says "Your rear end is almost as wide as this grill" She ignores the remark. A little later, Joe takes his measuring tape and measures the grill, then he goes over to Mary and measures her rear end and gasps, "Geez, it really IS as wide as the grill!" Later that night while in bed, her Joe starts to feel frisky. Mary calmly responds, "If you think I'm gonna fire up the grill for one little wiener, you are sadly mistaken."
Thank you very much for looking, for the lovely comments and the fav's on yesterday's picture and for, once more, helping my shot go on pp and tp. Very much appreciated.
Men always handle the barbecues! Gives the women a chance to sit and talk! This looks like a feast so there must be many to enjoy the fireworks and company! Whats for second course?
I'm the one who usually does the bbq here but our grill is so old it's really not safe to use it anymore. Next summer I see a new one in our future as I've really missed it this year. Happy grilling to you!
