One of three pictures (collages) I am showing from the Mosta feast. I took over two hundred shots but I am not happy with the results. It was a bit breezy on Denise’s roof and my tripod wasn’t stable enough with the lens in full zoom. I must solve this matter, probably by buying a more sturdy tripod – but the thing is I use it very rarely, sometimes not even once a year.
All the shots I am posting, show the dome of the church. That’s because the fireworks were being let off from a disused quarry hundreds of metres on the opposite side from where I was. As my daughter lives on higher ground than the church, the dome came almost parallel to my position.
There’s another feast this weekend close to where I live – Stella Maris, the parish I lived in in my youth. My sister with whom we go out on Saturday evenings, suggested we go and watch.
Joke: Joey and Mary – a married couple - where on the roof of their house having a beer and waiting for the fireworks to start. Suddenly the phone rang and Mary ran to the phone, picked it up and listened for a moment and then said: “'How should I know, that's 200 miles from here!' and hung up.
Joe said, 'Who was that?' Mary replied, 'I don't know, some woman wanting to know if the coast is clear.'
Thank you very much for looking and for all the lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
