First full day in Gozo – Saturday , 24th October.
The walk to the carpark after Saturday evening’s mass was made even more interesting when we passed by St Francis Square. Last preparations were being made for some sort of street festival. We stopped by to watch and I squeezed through the small crowd of people to what the opening of the festival with a performance by a group of ballet dancers. Of course, I had to take some shots of the event. Here are some of them. The picture on the left is how St Francis Church was lit (not sure if it was especially for this occasion).
We didn’t stay long – Christine and my sister weren’t interested and were in a hurry to go for dinner which we had booked for 8.30pm. In fact the dancers hadn’t finished their dance when we left.
Joke: A married couple were both ballet dancers. They were so absorbed in their dances that they were having trouble remembering anything but all their latest dancing steps and choreography. So they decide to consult their doctor. The doctor finds them in
excellent health (of course), but suggests that writing things down may help their memories off the dance floor. That night the husband gets up to go the kitchen and the wife asks for some ice cream, suggesting that maybe he write it down.
He says "I don't need to write it down"
She says "Well I want Strawberries on it, so maybe you better write it down"
"I don"t NEED to write it down" He says and walks off in a huff.
Twenty minutes later he comes back with a plate of bacon and eggs.
"I told you to write it down" she says, "You forgot my toast".
Thank you so very much for looking, for the lovely comments and the fav's on yesterday's picture and for putting it on tp and pp. You are the best.
