Shot taken on Sunday before last, the last day of our Gozo weekend.
I have tried to capture the waves travelling along this protective wall and finishing in a big splash at the curve.
This is inside Xlendi Bay, a popular place during the summer for swimming and for dining. Until some 30 years ago, there was a sandy beach here with a narrow street along the beach with boat houses for the fishermen of the area. Then it was decided to reclaim part of the beach to widen the street for better access to two small hotels and the restaurants that started to spring up. Now the street is closed to traffic and has all been taken over by the restaurants to place their tables for diners who wish to lunch out in the sun. The seabed is still sandy but the beach is almost gone.
Many thanks for viewing my project and for the comments and fav's on yesterday's picture.
A great capture of the braking wave and splash of water . Perfect timing.
Thank you for you so nice comment. You only learn about our country the way I like to tell and to be. The true is always different.
