WINE-MAKING

I have been wanting to post this shot for some time. It was taken on our return journey home from Marsaxlokk. This is one of the vineyards you can find in Malta – as yet the vines are still ‘asleep’.
Malta produces some excellent wines but not in big quantities because of the size of the Island and availability of land. Hence, as far as I know, Malta does not export wine (there isn’t even enough for the local community) and the price, compared to imported wines is rather on the high side.

Great to see some of the farming of Malta. A beautiful fav. capture of you country side and vineyards. We do have some vineyards too, but the quality depend much on the warmt and dry of the summer .
