I have finally come round to show some shots from the St Julians Festa that took place on Sunday, 28th August. I was disappointed that there was no barge in the middle of the bay for letting off fireworks and so I decided not to take my camera with me on the eve of the festa. Still there were some fireworks though not of the calibre of the Stella Maris one.
But Sunday, 29th , I couldn’t resist taking the camera with me. This is Max with a bundle of shredded paper which he picked up from the ground as we where walking down to the main square of the village. The shredded paper are used as confetti and thrown from balconies while the band wounds its way through the streets of the parish.
As you can see, the street cleaners have a hell of a job after each festa.
Many thanks for your views, comments. I do appreciate them.
Great shot of Max, street, and all the shredded paper. Max has such a joyful expression, not sure the street cleaners will have the same expression. Katharine
Great capture and I bet it's clean the day after the fiesta, A lot of hard work that is done in this country during the night after the London carnival and it looks like nothings happened the next day!!
Max looks like he is having great fun , fabulous dione.
this will work well in mono, as the mono tones will take away the golden hues of the street lighting
