Bridge one: “You look good, today! Going anywhere?”
Bridge two: “Yes, I know. I got a new dress; do you like it? But matter how much I try I can’t move!”
Took this shot as we walked along the bridge from the first gate to the second gate of the Birgu fortifications. The bridge you see there was built a less than a century ago across the ditch to allow traffic to enter the city from this side. The arch which connects the walls on each side has been built only recently. It is intended to give continuity to the fortification walls and, in my opinion, it was a good choice.
I think that the new lighting that has recently been installed around the city and its fortifications has been expertly done.
