This is Sir Paul Boffa. Shot taken during the V18.
V18 – there was a trail to follow and our next stop should have been in front of St John’s Cathedral where a laser show was going on once every hour. The square is small (all Valletta squares are small – even the city is small compared to cities in other countries) and the thousands of people that packed the square and the streets leading to it made it impossible to find a small nook where we could watch the show so we had to skip this one. Unfortunately for us, it was considered to be the best out of four shows going on around different venues in Valletta.
So we moved on with the multitude of people to Castille square. On the way, I had to take a shot of this big boy of Maltese politics and his big shadow on the walls of St James Cavalier. Sir Paul Boffa was a Labour Party leader and Prime Minister way back even before I was born.
Looks spectacular of the black background. There seems to be no shortage of feast, festivals and miscellaneous celebrations in Malta. What a joyful place. Fav
