From my ramble in Gozo. This is San Dimitri (Saint Demetrius) Chapel, located at the northernmost tip of the Maltese Islands. I had a long walk through narrow pathways around fields until I got here. Then I found that there was an alsphalted road which I could have followed, but it was more fun walking through the narrow footpaths full of weeds and stones of all sizes where the air was clean and there was no one around.
I had been wanting to come to this place for some time (I had been there before but much before) because, at least for me, there is a beautiful old legend about pirates and slavery. You can read about this on Wikipedia if you have time.
BTW the two shots previous to this where from the village of Għarb not Għasri . The two villages are very close to each other and have the same characteristics, only that Għasri is smaller.
Thank you so much for looking and for the comments and fav’s on yesterday’s picture.
Thank you for your well wishes Dione, I am now on the mend after a bad sepsis infection.
