One last shot for the day – this is the Old Head of Kinsale – a large promontory that juts out into the Atlantic Ocean, rising hundreds of feet above the water with towering sea cliffs. I read on the internet that the best way to explore the Old Head is by foot and that it is a gentle 6km (3.7 miles) walk that takes in a circular route around the head. But when we got there we found that the area had been closed off for walkers and that you had to be a member of some club to enter. I heard somebody say it had been turned into a high-level golf club. Like me, Ian had not known this either. So it was rather a bit disappointing after the drive there (around 1 hour). Still I got a few nice shots of the area.
Many thanks for your views, comments and fav's - much appreciated.
It sure is beautiful- and amazingly green. (Of course Ireland is known as the Emerald Isle for a good reason!) How disappointing that there was no warning about the restriction but you certainly got a beautiful landscape anyway.

Fortunately you still have the photos. What a bad luck that you could not walk there. Looks a beautiful coast
