Again from my December visit to Salina Salt Pans. Some of the Egrets were still there. These birds remind me of grumpy old men. I got a photobomber in the picture, too. I don't know what kind of bird that is.
The Sigma lens that Ian, my son-in-law, gave me is not compatible with my camera; whatever I did and however much I made sure I was in focus the pictures I took always turned out a bit blurry. I do not understand the mechanics so I showed the camera with the lens to Ian who after checking all the controls said that they are not compatible together, so I thanked him and gave the lens back to him. We are now on the look out for a good-priced zoom lens that could be useful to me. In the meantime I am back to my faithful 10 – 200 lens.
Thank you very much for your looks, comments and fav's.
Haha. Great capture. How frustrating with the lens. I have a sigma on my Nikon but needed to check out fitting as some are specifically for other cameras.
Hope you find a new lens soon.
(The trend is more back to nature and local products.)
