This is just for my diary record!!
Allan was off to work early today and I slept and dozed for ages........and then set to sorting out my wardrobe. Having read 'The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up' a few years ago I have tried to only keep the items that 'spark joy' and today I have created a pile for the charity shop......incuding a few of the 'maybe I'll still wear it' variety.
Later I went to our local store and bought a new shoe rack. I'm not really an Imelda kind of person but I do have quite a lot of foorwear.....now I can see what I need.
Three good things
1. A long sleep and gentle start to the day!
2. A long walk to the Co-op Store.....I needed apricots and milk for dinner
3. The life-changing magic has begun!
That shoe rack holds quite a few pairs of shoes! I love a good clean out too but it's the shall I wear that again or not ones that makes difficult decisions. They say if you haven't worn it for a couple of years chuck it! I do keep things sometimes thinking I will wear that but then I still don't! I am banned from taking stuff tomthe charity shop until daughter & granddaughter have looked through them!

Thank you!
I like the idea of daughters having a look through before the charity shop! Sometimes I do send a WhatsApp photo but usually when I am clearing THEIR wardrobe!!!
I have enforced clear-outs every time we move house, which is every 2-3 years, generally. It's good for dumping the dross, but it's never easy getting rid of our clothes, is it? Very cathartic though, once it's done, and even better if others can get some use out of what we no longer need.
Thank you!
