Well it's definitely the week of the cakes! Today I spent several hours decorating one for Jonathan and it was the first time I'd done anything like it! The design came from Google images and the really tricky bit was the bike! But I liked it a lot and he loved it.
There's a lovely expression 'WIF-with all faults' that I came across a few years ago. Things don't have to be perfect.....we aren't. ...but still precious and worth more than words can ever say. Sometimes the perfectly presented stuff and competitive stuff in the media makes us forget there's a whole learning process in living and loving and doing!
Jonathan's birthday is on Monday but he had friends up this weekend so they came for dinner and staying overnight. All his favourite food.....and we'd had 3 courses so the cake is still intact! He'd cycled 65 miles with his friend Andy so they'd used a few calories.
