This is in response to my Get Pushed challenge which was to:
Why not try panning out intentional camera movement. You can definitely do that with your black and white theme for the month. Good luck.
It's also in black and white for the Flash of Red February black and white focusing on leading lines. I would normally pan or create ICM images in colour as I like the way that blurring colours gives impressionistic pictures of sunsets, landscapes or woodlands, and my favourite panning shots have all had the person or bike moving against colourful backgrounds, so I tried ICM/panning on light trails, but there wasn't a lot of traffic to play with and lots of stopping for zebra crossings and traffic lights or turn offs.
Three good things:
1. we got out to the local Hobbycraft to sort out the gubbins for a Guides project and my daughter to finish her quilt.
2. another glorious day today
3. really quiet and peaceful on the High Street tonight, particularly for a Saturday night.
Thank you for looking and your great comments and favs - you're all wonderful. I try to look at your pictures and comments rather than thank you individually below.
Originally taken 23 February - moved to 18 February
Most interesting - I dismissed light trails as I didn't think they would work but you've proved me wrong!
Hope you don't mind my saying but you need to tag your GP challenger as otherwise they might not see your response to their challenge.
@olivetreeann I have created abstracts from these shots with lots of processing, achieved amazing shapes with dancing lights in the wind - but it was a Get Pushed that I realised wasn't going to work that well under current circumstances unless I could find something special and I was running out of time.
So, here comes my Get Pushed-Challenge for you: I suppose taking a picture of stairwells might work out fine with your bw-project! Please try to take it from a view from which you normally don't see stairs.
