I live in a market town which still has a market - every Monday. We got out for my daughter's wander as the market was setting up and there were already people checking out the fresh produce. The publicity says that the charter to grant the market dates 1253 but in fact this town just part of the forest then, the market was based at what is now a tiny village to the north on one of the roads that ran along the ridges.
Three good things:
1. red and white outfit for the baby we know went in the post today - my daughter's second outing;
2. sorted out my next part of the Criminal injuries claim I've got in progress - don't think I'll get anything - when I went out to buy eggs;
3. First attempt at the trousers pattern cut out (pair of denim shorts)
Thank you for looking and all your amazing comments and faves. I prefer to spend time looking at your pictures rather than thanking your individually below.
I can't wait for our market to start up- not until May for us. The produce here looks so good! I love the lighting and activity of this shot. I feel like I'm there.
i like the feel of this photograph: it is as if i am actually there looking at all the people and the produce on display. i think it is the way you have captured the sunlight. i like it. aces!
Great shot and look at all that delicious fruits and vegs. We still have the fish, fruit and veggie market every day during summer here in Bergen, but unfortunately it has now become an overpriced tourist trap and no one who lives here shop there anymore
Lovely capture of this market stall. I enjoy going round these stalls and look all the farmers produce. And their produce is so much fresher than those bought in supermarkets.
