High key shot of the new plane leaves and last year's plane fruits from the London plane tree avenue.
Busy day sorting out the last bits for the Guides Handicraft exhibition and spending the afternoon there.
1. The friendship bracelet kits went down well, and all 15 of the rainbow kits sold, plus 4 of the chevrons (rather harder to do)
2. I taught three Guides how to make the rainbow kits, and had one of them sitting in the entrance demonstrating as I demonstrated a chevron.
3. The Guides did well in the competition, winning a satisfying number of rosettes, and we had a good attendance of our Guides helping out.
Sorry for the mass upload, I'll have caught up from the weekend in a minute. Thank you all for your amazing comments and faves, particularly on the album cover. I prefer to spend time looking at your pictures rather than thanking you individually below.
@olivetreeann actually very little processing - slight crop only. I got the high key effect by overexposing the shot. Three attempts at this and I liked the overexposed version most.
@shannejw Good info- we have a competition going on with another club right now (friendly not serious) and I need to get a high-key shot of an apple without post-processing effects. So I've been playing around with the exposure too. So far I've got two I'm mostly pleased with but we'll see...
@olivetreeann I've found that I need to adjust either the EV - and if I'm planning high key shots I do that, but this was a shot as I walked to the shops - or over expose - and this was exposed for the trunks, then turned to the skies. I tend to have EV set low as it works better for a lot of shots - so it will be 2/3 down.
Really nice in it's simplicity against the white background, viewing it framed against the additional black background really makes it really stand out.
