Where London skyscrapers spike the horizon

Evening wander up to the nearest place I get this view - of London across the fields, this is about 17 miles away. The buildings on the left on the horizon are Canary Wharf and Docklands, the ones on the right, the City of London - 2 photos stitched together in this panorama.

Three good things:
1. my daughter came out for a walk this far this evening as a second walk;
2 finished off one of the UFOs - a remake of a jumper that didn't fit into a cardigan jacket that does - long process of hand sewing of buttonholes through lots of layers;
3. Lovely sunny day

Thank you for your amazing response to my meadow foxtail grasses, you're all stunning I prefer to spend time looking at your pictures rather than thanking people individually below.
This looks like a painting to me- just beautiful!! And the photo stitching is perfect- I would never have known it was 2 pictures made one if you hadn't told me. fav

Beautiful view. I like how the branch in the upper right kind of frames it. Your stitching seems very good. I couldn’t tell it was stitched.

This is super. It's not dissimilar to the viewpoint from a hill not far from me either, but I see it from the east. Love it, instant fav.

Beautifully merged image. I like the rolling hills that lead to the city scape.

@casablanca I've recognised things in some of your pictures too - this is from the north-east. I can point out various towers from this picture - 1 Canada Tower, the Shard, Strata, Gherkin, NatWest Tower (I think it's Tower 42 now), CheeseGrater and what I suspect is 22 BishopsGate looking at it.

That make me think of an image from the great British painters from the past. It has a great atmosphere and lighting.

I think this is so interesting with the countryside in front and the city in the background. Gives perspective on life. The tracks add an extra effect.
