snail

Miserable wet day with snails crawling up and down the the railings. I took so many good pictures that this could have been a gif if I'd the time and energy and wasn't madly catching up.

Three good things for Tuesday:
1. the sink part arrived so I spent some time cleaning out the sink plumbing and refitting it (the plug and drain hole fitting died), so yay, no more washing up in the bath.
2. My daughter's new mattress is settled in, so she's got a new bed to sleep on after a night on the floor (and I get to carry a mattress downstairs and out to the bin store)
3. We did get out for a couple of wanders between showers

Apologies for the mass upload, as I'm not currently an ace member, I can't hide this lot as private until later but have to flood feeds.

Thank you for looking and your amazing support particularly as I've been such a flaky 365er for the last couple of weeks. I will try to get around to catching up with following in the next few days.
Beautiful details in this snail.

the patterns on the shell and the body are magnificent here. Shows just how much we miss when we don't look properly.

For a moment I almost thought, "Gee, I love snails" Can't believe I thought it. I HATE what they do to many of my plants but they are quite fascinating and make great photography subjects, especially when they come out of their shells.

Great macro! The shell on this one is quite pretty. I know they ruin plants but they are fun to photograph.

I recently shot snails for a photo class and was amazed at the detail on the shell. Something I had never noticed. Wonderful image. Well done!
