Half 6 by shutterbug49

Half 6

Yesterday was farmers’ market day. We had to stay on certain spots that were widely separated from other spots and wait to be called up. We could not go into the booths and the farmer had to pack it for us. Also, only electronic payment. Everyone had to wear masks. When we came home we enjoyed steamed carrots with cumin and salad turnips with olive oil and sea salt.
At least you can go to a market, nothing as good as fresh produce.

Cool food shot. Went to the farm stand a couple of days ago so we're all stocked up again. Feels good.

Looks so delicious...nothing like farmers markets for fresh produce...even if we have to wait & wait.

@ludwigsdiana any idea when you get more freedom? We still have to be careful with the masking and hand washing.

@ludwigsdiana @mittens @jgpittenger @pdulis @ludwigsdiana @quietpurplehaze @jernst1779 @wakelys @jacqbb @happysnaps @cocobella @koalagardens Salad turnips were new to us. I thought they were radishes of which I am not a big fan. But Alice Waters (a chef in one of our online classes) said they were sweet and non-radishy when steamed. She was right. It was delicious.

Looks very tasty. Our farmer's market is supposed to open on the 16th I think. I'm looking forward to the fresh veggies! I have feeling our market will operate under similar circumstances as yours.
