Compare X and 12Pro

I shot the left with Hubby’s iPhone X and the right with my new iPhone 12Pro. I thought this was a relatively difficult shot because it’s quite dark in that room and shooting toward the light. Zoom in on the magazines on the table, look at the chairs outside, or look at the details in the tree.
The right hand one has picked up more light and detail. How interesting to compare

Wow! That's so interesting. On the right one, the angle is wider. And there is so much more detail. The details on the magazine are excellent, when you zoom. But without zooming, the tree is obviously much more detailed.
What struck me first was the difference between the 'skirt' under the tree. Thanks for sharing.

The magazine’s and outside chairs are slightly sharper on the right.

It’s one thing to read all the hype, another to actually see a comparison...interesting!

Great to see the comparison. I just traded in my phone for a 12 pro max. I like it a lot.

That’s amazing

The clarity is so much better with the 12!

Great comparison shot. Is the angle wider or were you just standing further away on the right?

Yup, the newer ones are almost always better. The 12 certainly is!

The right has more shadow detail

Great shots to compare and I'm envious of your 12 as I have an 8. :D

Great comparison shot. Your iPhone shot looks a little lighter and clearer.

@ludwigsdiana I stood on the same spot, but it was hand held so maybe that made a difference. I thought about using a tripod, but since iPhones don’t have a mounting screw, they use a tight clamp and I have to really wrestle with it to get it on so probably wouldn’t be exact either.

Yes...indoor and low light situations are improved on iPhone 12.

What an interesting comparison - and haven't both phones handled the difficult situation so well. Your new phone seems to give more detail on the inside of the room. However, I personally like the old one better - it seems to have more depth to it's colours. :)
