This is a contest held once per year (when not locked down for covid). Residents submit their chili. The ladies behind the counter are the Helping Hands group. They did not necessarily make the chili. Then we submit our favorite by writing the number on a slip of paper and putting it in a box. The winner gets a gift certificate for a dinner out on town.
