Penn State University has many campuses throughout the Commonwealth. We happen to have a small one in Sharon, PA.
This building was formally the Junior High School which is where I attended. Dating back to 1903, this was the central school for the city. It was vacated in 1963 and Penn State Univerity began inquiring into purchasing it as a campus serving the Shenango Valley. It was opened to 93 students in 1965. In 1967 250 students were enrolled. With the ability to earn both associate and baccalaureate degrees, or begin one of more than 275 Penn State degree programs 420+ students now attend.
