Instant Fav again! I'm lovin' these pink bird pics. The pink reflections on the water are fantastic and hint at the fact there was likely a crowd hanging out with this character. I love it that you and your camera have not gone unnoticed — his/her eye is focused right on you. Amazing color in both your photo and the bird.
@cottiac Just something I started doing after admitting that I have some weird fascination with flamingos. I just decided to have some fun and start posting flamingo pictures on a regular basis on Fridays. Some have joined in here and there, and it's been interesting to see what other folks do with their flamingo shots. Join in if you'd like!
@stray_shooter Ah! Well I'd love to but there's not a great deal of these delightful birds hanging out round our area. There is however a rooftop garden in London that I have my eye in visiting some time and they have them there apparently! So you might see one pop up from me one day...!
@taffy Sadly, I do not live with the pink fowl, but I often travel to the San Diego Zoo, or the associated Wild Animal Park, both of which are somewhat near and both of which are richly stocked with flamingos at multiple locations. They are not always, rarely are in fact, taken on the day of posting, a violation of the rules which I have chosen to willingly violate. ;-)
