The Rainbow Lorikeets at Wild Animal Park and I have established a good relationship.....I think. There are a few photos taken by @weezilou and @aglennc that feature me with the colorful critters perched on various parts of my body. I'm not sure if this is a loving or hateful look.
Various parts - mean them parts what stick out? Wow this is close to see the striping in the feathers! Its dark blue facial feathers are very striking too!
Such deep colors! Look at his stare, he's tough! I had only heard the name Lorikeets from some 365ers in Australia, what gorgeous birds they must be. I love this shot! Fav for sure.
Haha! Yes we have Ron..... but this is the best close up I've seen. Beautiful. And he is definitely staring at you. These little guys are so colorful. But watch out for their bite.
as the image appeared i was startled. i'd not expected it to be so up-close and very personal.. loving the colours and details.. he looks like he was very taken by you Ron.. :-)
That is quite an intense stare. We have lots of lorikeets visiting our garden and this morning while I was feeding a couple of regular kookaburra visitors a lorikeet landed on my head wanting some of the meat I was feeding the kookas. Nobody told this particular lorikeet that they are supposed to be vegetarian.
@onewing I happen to believe that the highest compliment a lorikeet can pay you is to land on your head. You must have gotten one of those rogue meat eaters.
@stray_shooter Bring on the archives! We know you have some good ones! Congratulations on taking your Cheetah to the TT page! How cool is that!!! (It was a good day, wasn't it?!) Bon Voyage!
