Focus Trial by stray_shooter

Focus Trial

I picked up a new Sony A6500 mainly for purposes of pulling off my street photography with a little more stealth and quality (in hopes that people will be allowed out in public again eventually). The camera has a very good and quick ability to focus, so I put it to work on what to me was a barely visible spider web. Based on this result I think I'll be able to get some good street shots.
Yes, come to think of it - not many street shots lately! This focus is so good - rainbow colours caught and all!

Wow -- yes, this should be a great addition to your camera collection. Great details. I find I go out looking for a lone person to put in an empty scene and that's what counts as 'street' photography these days!

Spider webs are so hard to capture. This is incredible. Perfect focus.

I like the iridescence and structure of the web. Great clarity!

Nice detail and shimmer in the web.

Bloody hell!!! How many cameras have you got now.

@terryliv Pretty sure I have one of each now. I think I might have a camera problem.

Lovely perspective light and focus Ron, one thing worth mentioning is the lack of noise at 1600 iso great little camera:)

@stray_shooter If you're not careful, you'll end up with more cameras than Harleys

lovely capture ...

Such an intricate web. Spiders are natural architects

@maggiemae Thanks Maggie. Don't worry, they'll be back soon. I was already out grabbing some today as people have begun to emerge from their caves. Glad you noticed the prism effect.

@taffy Ha ha, yes, you're lucky to find a sole on the streets these days! Thanks, Taffy.

@louannwarren Thanks, Lou Ann. Yes, those webs are tricky. When I held down the shutter button and it immediately locked onto the web I was amazed....and thrilled!

@joysfocus Thanks Joy! And great use of the word iridescence!

@redy4et Hey, I like shimmer too! Joy went with iridescence, Maggie used rainbow, I love the variety of descriptions! Thanks, Elizabeth.

@pcoulson Thanks for pointing that out, Peter. I have this camera set up for auto iso, something I don't normally do, but if I'm going to use it for street shots I think that's what I'll be stuck with as I'm likely going to be in shutter priority. It's a whole new world!

@pdulis Thanks very much Peter. I should take from your inspiration and shoot it early in the morning!

@salza Thanks Sally. Yes, the work of spiders is fascinating to me. If I see a web I'm damn sure gonna stop and try to get a photo of it - you never know what you might find.

Nice new Toy! I think you'll be falling in love!

Has "Spectrum of colors" been mentioned yet? That's what I love most (along with drops of dew!) in a web!

@Weezilou You and Maggie were the only ones to pick up on the prism effect. That was my favorite thing! Thanks for noticing and mentioning!
