i almost forgot about this assignment. AC @3rdxoff is my partner this week for the get pushed challenge. "My challenge for you is to take a selfie, but it must be sooc!"
i must say i tried this four days ago but the darn camera wouldn't cooperate. if it wasn't expensive i'd have thrown it outside in the snow. so tonight while i remembered the task, i might as well do it or i'd have another senior moment and forget about it.
AC says she dreads the selfie. i don't particularly like being in front of the camera but from doing this exercise every now and then, i concluded that you have to be in the right mood or mindset when you take your own photograph. and tonight having eaten sushi for lunch, a large tapioca drink in the afternoon, and some (okay, a lot) of filipino sweets, there was a lady at the laundromat who asked if i was single because she thought i'd make a perfect match for her younger brother who is 38 and still single. i told her my son is 36. turned out i am older than this lady by 11 years. but you couldn not fault her, she was wearing a pair of really thick eyeglasses so her view of the world must be a little bit off. so off i went to the sushi place for more sushi (maybe if i eat enough raw fish...).
so here's the sooc selfie, all of my fifty-nine and a half.
@3rdxoff - thank you, AC. well you know, as one gets older, the corners of the mouth tend to point downwards, so we need to smile a lot. and if you laugh a lot, you can always tell people the wrinkles are laugh lines. wise words eh? tee-hee! hope you're feeling better.
What a great selfie and amazing sooc. I think I would have declined or fainted at that challenge! Glad to see you - now I'll know you for next weekend. Will send an update email soon.
@espyetta - yes! i was thinking "tee-hee i should be vacuuming instead i'm taking a picture of me!" i was blatangly ignoring it so it's now in the back room, i will do my vacuum in the morning. :-D
@summerfield Uhmmm, I was actually going to say " yes! Let's do it" until I saw you said "he hehehehehehehe." LOL! But who knows? I may do it anyway! If I can.
Oh you are beautiful - really a very pretty selfie - Oh that is my biggest fear. I did a selfie already for one of the getpushed by I'm afraid someone will ask me again - and to not be able to edit away my flaws that is just terrifying!
@myhrhelper - thank you, KB. you're so kind. believe me, i was so tempted to remove at least my freckles and that ugly indentation in my forehead. whenever i have to post a selfie, i would normally erase that dent.
