partner had a long day planned for us (more for me, i suppose). we went to a mural's unveiling which we promised the artist we would attend. then we went back to the newly discovered trail along the don valley, this time the east end part of the trail. that took us a good two hours of walking and if our bladders weren't complaining, we'd probably had walked further up north. it's so beautiful in the forest only spoilt by inconsiderate people with dogs who wouldn't scoop up despite the many signs. luckily for us, i'm always on the alert so we avoided stepping on dog poos!
as we hadn't had lunch yet, we checked out our entertainment book which is about to expire at the end of this month so we have to use some of the coupons. we ended up driving to the west end of the city, only to find one restaurant had changed hands and no longer honours the coupon, three were opening at five (it was 3:30 by this time) so we ended up in our favourite italian place as the manager was kind enough to let us in an hour earlier. needless to say the food was excellent, the place warm and comforting. it always feels good to be in familiar and kind places.
after the meal we drove around the lake and found ourselves in this place with the view of downtown toronto. i previously posted a shot of this place in february. http://365project.org/summerfield/365-still/2013-02-10
lovely spot... wonderful silhouette and perfect with the city as a backdrop... where is this? it looks a bit like humber bay park (i think that's what it's called)
