we were going to go to london (that's in ontario for you) for little ivy jean's birthday but they were in waterloo (that's still in ontario) so we met them at a park. little ivy was excited to see us and to get her presents. her favourite colours are purple and pink and partner ordered a taro cake with purple icing and a dora character décor. in my excitement, photos were of course all blurry. ngek!
the park had a big pond and there were quite a few waterfowls. the highlight for me was a pair of swans nesting on a large flowerbed right where people walk by and can take a peek. people around there, though, not being in a big city, are quite respectful of the animals so they mostly leave them alone. they have two eggs and the male is mostly outside of the flower bed keeping watch, while the female fusses around her eggies.
across the path from the flower bed is this beautiful gazebo surrounded by yellow tulips. we were quite in a rush so my plan of a portrait of the moi and partner was foiled and you can believe it, i was not amused. i mean, how often do you find a really nice gazebo surrounded by yellow flowers on a beautiful bright sunny day and not take a photo? but i was able to use my crystal ball and take this shot to end the month.
tomorrow, we will take the two older grandsons mini-golfing and then lunch at the marina. do you foresee boats in my next post?
thank you for your kind views and comments; know that they are truly and much appreciated.
Shame about the joint portrait ala Gazebo, you will have to put up with just "gazing" at each other in reality rather than a portrait. Great crystal ball capture - can you tell me what size yours is (the crystal ball) please.
Glad to hear you have swans too, they are such partners and a joy to watch, have a great time playing around near the water :O)
