cleopatra

i am quite honoured to have been invited by the madhatters group to be a guest poster this week for their "legends and myths" theme. i chose 'cleopatra' as my subject. please mosey on down and check my posting here: http://365project.org/madhatters/365/2014-06-14

i found this article on cleopatra in national geographic's website which i 'm sure you will enjoy reading. http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2011/07/cleopatra/brown-text

my young friend at the office once again came to the rescue (or you would've had to endure looking at another selfie if she didn't) for my cleopatra shot. i had made a staff out of an old bamboo rod and covered it with gold paper, fashioned an ankh out of cardboard and painted it gold with a sally hansen insta-dry gold nailpolish and fastened it on to the staff with tape and camouflaged it with a flexible beaded ring. the close up shots came out a lot better for presentation to you. this one i processed in ribbet and applied the '60's effect and i like how it came out. tried it in black and white but colour gave more justice to the shot.

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are so much appreciated. off to do laundry. i'll be right back!
Fantastic representation. You are only missing Richard Burton :)

Did Antony come to visit? Maybe he was standing behind. She has the right expression and the wig if it was one is perfect!
