after the perfect first weekend of summer, rain came this afternoon. i detoured to a side street walking home and found a beautiful garden with massive bushes of large peonies, all white, with buds that are just starting to bloom. in fact, all flowers in that particular garden were just white. most were on their way out but you can still discern that they were white.

Oh...so lovely. It shocks me to see "First week of summer"..when I have been off on summer break I guess it is 3.5 weeks now. And I go BACK to school last days of July. Sigh. Summer is weird down here in ATL
