seeing red by summerfield

seeing red

the girl's been standing there waiting... knitted brows, clenched fists, pursed lips... her stance said 'patience wearing thin'. she held a phone to her ear once, muttered 'well, i'm here!' then put it away.

i liked the artwork inside the shop behind her. i thought the red would be good for the artistic segment of the 52-week challenge this week which is red. so i think we can say that the lady must be seeing red from waiting. well, she needed only to turn around and she would see it. red.

thank you for your kind visits and comments; know that they are greatly appreciated.

update on the apartment situation: i have found a new apartment for march 1st. i will be signing the lease next weekend before i leave for my visit to manila. all my stuff are in storage now, including those stuff i've been hoarding with the aim of bringing them with me to manila. so now i will be travelling light going to san francisco then to manila. it won't be the case when i come back.
She positioned herself perfectly! Great candid capture. Glad you have found an apartment. At least that worry is now sorted.

She looks cold and fed up! Someone's going to be in trouble when they arrive. Good capture.

wish I could say I had never worked myself up into that state. Oy. terrific for the theme(s)

I like your composition choice. Normally having the subject so close to the edge that their sight is facing would be frustrating but in this case it is perfect.

You chose a terrific composition to highlight the art AND the girl!

Good to know you have a place to return to so it doesn't mar your visit!

I like the composition here, babe; and as usual, the narrative too.
Hey, we spent some time together on the PP!

There is a color story, and a graphic story in this shot and they work together beautifully. The red moves into orange, and goes back into the scene. The black/white graphic parts (window frame, bag, name of the store in a box) counter the color, and the shape of the red art brings it all together. Really well done.

The artistic red lines work so well with the composistion! Really neat shot!

@northy - sheppard and don mills - a different spot of the city and a huge change for me, but will make for an excellent discipline in waking up early and commuting. thanks, kiddo. lots of big parks around so lots of photo opps and not to mention panning practice on the 401!
