we'll always be together by summerfield

we'll always be together

the assignment for week 33 of the 52-week challenge was to shoot something artistic in collaboration with another photographer. so @northy and i went last sunday to the bluffer's park to shoot, since we are taking collaboration to mean shooting together, which the two of us would do whenever we can find the time.

this is the result of our 'collaboration' as we both took photos of the same view of the sunset's colours as they reflected on the clouds and then reflecting on the lake water. this was actually way later after the blue hour has almost ended. i rather liked the silhouettes of the couple on the bench as they gazed at the flickering lights in the distance. what drew me to this shot is the ghostly effect as the lady moved as well as their dog under the bench. it's almost like heathcliff sitting with catherine earnshaw's ghost, but of course those people aren't because in reality they're an elderly chinese couple.

@northy i believe was somewhere to the right, out of frame, shooting the darkened east side of lake ontario. here's her interpretation: http://365project.org/northy/365/2016-09-01

I bet you couldn't get this one again if you tried! The ghostly lady is just right - the man is sitting here in this beautiful spot thinking about his wife who died some years ago!

I really like this on black, the colors of the clouds are especially nice. The woman does appear to be a ghost.

her moving so works in this shot . I thought you ps her that way. I thought the story was him remembering better times when his love was alive. My sadness went away as I read your description :-)
